Top Cat Discos have over 10 years experience in mobile DJ / Entertainment work, and has featured on T.V. Currently we are the resident DJ on the ITV1 programme 'THAT ANTONY COTTON SHOW' due to air on August 13th 2007. We pride ourselves on giving our clients exactly what you'll require to help make your event a success.
We carry thousands & thousands of tracks from all musical genre's to our functions. We have all the classic tunes from the 50's Rock'n'Roll era, right upto the current chart music, and everything else in between!
Fancy a Waltz or a Tango? If you request it, we'll play it, we carry it all the time. All this complete with a full light show
We will always send out a booking form to our clients to find out what kind of disco you require, what kind of music you want AND what kind of music you don't want played if any.
At the end of the day it's your party or function, we are here for you and your guests to help give you all an event to remember!
If we are booked to play at a venue, which is new to us, then we would like to visit the venue well before the event, to establish what would be the best equipment for that particular function. Accounting for stage space, ceiling height, dance floor space etc. So on the day of the function itself, everything would be fine and dandy!
We don't employ those DJ's who hog the microphone all evening, nor do we employ those who just stand there and say nothing, apart for the first hour or two when your guests are arriving. People need to talk and relax, your guests may have not have seen each other for years, the last thing they'll want is to walk into a room where the volume is up to the max from 7.30 till closing time. Unless you want it different that is!
Dresscode, we will set up our equipment in polo shirts complete with the Top Cat logo. For the function itself we would wear smart casual attire. If the function is a grand charity evening or a formal dinner or similar, then formal evening wear would be worn if required.
Our equipment is fully P.A.T.(Portable Appliance Tested) and we carry Public Liability Insurance of £2,000,000. We are also members of the N.A.D.J.(National Association of Disc Jockeys)and we are listed on numerous online mobile disco directories.
We also provide to hire P.A. equipment. More and more wedding receptions these days take place in the same venue as the wedding ceremony itself. Why not hire a professional P.A. system complete with CD player and microphone, so you could have your wedding music played at your ceremony, your own background music at your wedding breakfast plus a microphone to help with the all important speeches! We will deliver and set up the equipment and dismantle it as well! All hassle free!! Please enquire for more details.
In addition to recorded music, we can also supply a top class female singer / guitarist ANDIE DEE, who covers all kind of classic music from the Rock'n'Roll era all the way through the decades to todays current music. If your getting married, how about Andie performing some easy listening standards, at your wedding breakfast or at your church or civil ceremony as you sign the register. Just to add a little of that X-Factor to your big day!!
In addition to the usual Birthday, Weddings & Anniversaries we can also cater for various other events such as Themed evenings (60's, 70's & 80's Nights, Wartime Evenings, quiz nights etc) Also we have worked with various Masonic lodges and Round table groups.
WEDDINGS
Top Cat Discos have years of experience playing at wedding receptions. We make sure customers hear the music they have requested and we are happy to play a wide range of music to suit all ages and tastes. Your play list requests of what to play and what not to play can be highlighted. This ensures we have an understanding of the customers requirements prior to the event.
Top Cat Discos are extremely reliable, punctual and conduct themselves in a courteous manner to ensure the bride and groom receive a professional service. Dress Code is black tie and dinner jacket or smart casual as requested.
Background music can be played throughout dinner at an unobtrusive level and use can be made of the microphone for speeches.

Tim Cooke's Top Cat Discos is a Professional Mobile Disco service based in Wigan, Lancashire. Established since 1997, we have achieved an enviable reputation for providing a high quality customer based service at a competitive price. Rest-assured, We are 100% Owner Operated with technical back up which means that we do not pass on your booking to an Agency or other Third Party.
VENUE FRIENDLY
We are 'Venue Friendly'. This means that not only can we adapt our Sound and Lighting rig to all sizes of venue or marquee, but we also carry the relevant documentation to allow us to work in venues which legally require the entertainer to carry Public Liability Insurance. The Ultimate Roadshow carries £2Million worth of Public Liability Insurance and also Electrically P.A.T. tested equipment. This meets the requirements laid down by some Council owned venues and an increasing number of Hotel Chains. Any DJ who doesn't carry this documentation may be refused entry to work at that venue, so it is always important to ask any Mobile Disco, to ensure that they can meet these requirements or risk disappointment on the night of your function.
