My name is Jennie and I AM The Sound Connection!!!

The Sound Connection is based in Hampshire, but covers London, Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. I will consider all areas, but travel may reflect in the cost. (Try me for prices that are cheaper than most around, don't worry, you will not be sacrificing the quality for these insanely low prices!!!)

Why pay through the nose for a 'satisfactory' night when you can pay a reasonable amount for one of the best around. (Please dont get fooled by cowboys charging ridiculously low amounts with shoddy equipment, they give professionals a bad name. Ask for references)

Here is a little about services provided:

* Karaoke

Karaoke seems to be very popular among my clients; you don't have to be the best singer in the world either. Why not hold a theme night, or competition. I supply all the equipment and run the evening for you. Effects and lighting are optional. If I don't have your song, let me know and I'll go out and get it (I normally do this at no extra cost!)

* Disco

These speak for themselves and the quality of sound is nearly always being commented on. I try to cater for all tastes, and ages, and have a wide selection of music from 60's to current. Fancy dress makes for an interesting night, and I can organise party games, which are entertaining for all ages! Disco lighting and smoke machine (non-toxic smoke) are available at no extra cost. For larger venues extra lighting may incur hire charges, please ask for details.

* Quiz night

Usually I arrange between four and ten rounds each consisting of ten questions, (all depending on how long the quiz is required.) This can be varied to make your quiz as long or as short as required. The quiz can include picture rounds, music rounds, and a wide variety of subjects. I can also take the hassle out of arranging prizes for you. Just tell me what you need and I will provide (subject to availability and fees.)

* Live music

I have a varied collection of contacts for live music. (Note: of these are sub-contracted and they charge their own fees which may vary from my rates)

All my equipment is fully maintained with annual PAT (electrical) testing and insured, I also have public liability insurance. Please ask for copies of my terms and conditions/liability insurance.

I believe in the personal approach, so here is a little about who I am - the first place you get to know the real people!

I, Jennie in case you forgot, have been running karaoke, quiz nights and discos (as well as the odd cabaret session!) for nearly 10 years now since I was a sweet and innocent eighteen year old. I put care and attention into each gig I work and I still thoroughly enjoy myself each and every time I work. I have done many childrens discos and they all come back with positive feedback. I am CRB certified as I also run a Brownie unit in my spare time.

I started my entertaining career with a large London based company, who set me on the road with full training, a complete system and some superb venues in which to work. I stuck with this company for around six years and I saved. Eventually, I sorrowfully left and bought my own PA system and now here I am two years on with a great reputation for The Sound Connection. I work most of the gigs myself and on the odd occasion I use trusted and fully vetted subcontractors on occasions I am not available.

My partner and also my technician, Matt, has worked alongside me to gain the quality of sound we now enjoy. He is an avid music lover with a great ear for sound and a weird and wonderful taste in music! Matt deals with the quality of sound, technical training and the upkeep of equipment and all my 'techie' problems. He regularly attends gigs and always accompanies part-time staff.

Glenn is one of my part-time DJ's, he also does karaoke and quiz nights if required. Glenn likes Blues Brothers, Stereophonics and has an uncannily superb voice. Glenn wife, Fran, is also on board as PA/company secretary. Fran also loves karaoke and occasionally accompanies me when Glenn is not working to look after baby Dylan (we train 'em young, he is only 1, aww bless!!!)
