Hi, I'm Steve Forth and I have been providing music and entertainment for parties, weddings, fund raisers and corporate events for over 20 years.

I am also a presenter on our regions Hospital Radio - broadcasting to the hospitals of Hull and the East Riding on 1350am, and I am sure I can provide just what your event needs - good music, friendly DJ and a great night to remember. The 'big rig' is quite impressive with a top-notch lighting display and a full stereo sound system.

My guarantee is you will have a good time. The music range is from the late 50's to the current charts, and a lot in between with some great northern soul thrown in - tell me what you want in advance and I will get it for you!

I have undertaken a lot of corporate party / function nights from as far afield as Edinburgh to Lincoln, and functions from 30 guests to a thousand patrons.

I do a fantastic job working with and supporting live bands, in fact with the exception of Karaoke, there's not much I havn't done!

I specialise in Wedding functions and private parties, and can provide background music and p.a. for these events if required.

How much?
Fee's are based on the date, times, duration and location of your function. There are fixed prices however they only apply to functions and events being held in the Hull and surrounding area of East Yorkshire.

What kind of music can you play?
What do you want? I have an extensive music collection from the 50's to current date. if you are looking for an experienced DJ for a any function, look no further!

Do you play requests?
Yes, I'm happy to take requests in advance, or at the function. I provide request slips for this purpose - if I have it, I will try and play it.

Do you confirm the booking?
Yes, I can send confirmation via email, or snail mail if you prefare.

How long do you need to set up, and how much space do you require?
Usually for most functions about an hour for setting up, and for the 'big rig' I would need a minimum of 4m x 2m with a minimum of 2.5m head hieght of space for setting up. For smaller venue's I can down size the rig - same effect just more compact!

Does it make any difference if my party is upstairs?
Not really but I would ask that you let me know what floor the party is on to ensure I know where I'm setting up!. I will also need to allow a longer time to set up if the functions upstairs - a lift is always helpful!

Do you use good light effects?
Yes, I have a selection of lighting effects to create an ambience at your venue. A smoke or haze machine can really bring out the lighting effects especially the lazer and scanning lights, BUT please check in advance that your venue allows the use of a smoke/haze machines.

What is your dress code?
Never jeans and a T shirt! My dress code is smart/casual, suit or black tie if required. Please indicate your preference when making your enquiry.

Do you do Children's Parties?
Yes, I am CRB checked and have experience with Children’s Discos, however parental supervision and participation is a pre-requisite - especially if you want games!

Have you got Public Liability Insurance (P.L.I)?
Yes, I hold £1m Public Liability Insurance cover.

Is your equipment tested?
Yes, all my equipment is Portable Appliance tested (PAT) annually in accordance with the Health & Safety electricity at work act 1989.

If the venue requires PAT & PLI certificates, is this possible?
Yes, I would forward them to the venue via email in advance.
