Martin Thompson of Diamond Dust is a professional DJ for over 25 years experience. He has successfully provided successful evenings for weddings, birthday parties, schools, youth clubs, church groups, presentation nights, corporate events and even promotions.
Martin and his team have had collectively extensive experience in providing a reliable, friendly, professional service with the needs of the customer put first.
We usually dress smart casual; but if the need arises, more formal dress can be worn.
All our bookings are confirmed in writing, so that all information regarding your function is accurate, and we meet your needs fully.
We are equipped to provide for any occasion, large or small, indoor or outdoor.
Wedding Discos
The song for your first dance is the most important one of the night. Before your big day, we can discuss this to ensure this is ready for the evening.
We can play music at background level at the beginning of the night.
We have an extensive range of music, which is catalogued and very easy to find – we play your requests with you to provide a playlist suitable for special day, as you most probably have a wide age range of guests: from children, parents, grandparents, people that want to sit down and relax, to others that want get up and party!
We can play classic tracks from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, right up the new stuff.
We have lighting to create the right mood and sound equipment of industry standard, PAT tested of course.
Birthday Party Discos
We would play music suitable to the age range, whether it been 18th, 21st, 30th, 50th, 60th, and beyond.
As well as a mixture of music from 70’s and 80’s classic tracks, for a 50th, we would include current music, some disco, rock & roll rock, pop, dance – the choice is yours.
18th birthday would be dominated by chart and current music with some cheesy songs to get everyone dancing
Teenage Discos
Youth and School Discos audiences tend to like loads of lights and their mix of songs – we can do that! We’ve got a catalogue of all our song which you and your guests can pick. We aim to make you happy!
Martin is a Qualified Teacher Status, Equity membership, First Aid training, PAT testing on equipment, extensive experience of working with children and teenagers, mainstream and special needs
School Discos
School disco can be Primary, Secondary and even college! Whatever the type of school, you can be sure that we will pitch the disco for the age range and setting.
Primary School disco need a mix of lights and entertainment depending on which years are attending. As well as the lights and music, we can provide games, competitions, activities and even a robot disco dog!
Secondary School Discos audiences tend to like loads of lights and their mix of songs – we can do that! We’ve got a catalogue of all our song which you and your guests can pick. We aim to make you happy!
College discos are no problem, we even done a few Uni’s around South Wales, which include Swansea and Lampeter! This has been end of term, annual celebrations….we have even backed a couple of bands. Being flexible and working with the organisers as ensured our success!
Children's Parties
Martin has qualified teacher Status, Equity membership, First Person On Scene (First Aid Qualification PAT testing on equipment, extensive experience of working with children and teenagers, mainstream and special needs
Can even provide games, activities and entertainment if required including a play parachute, magic, and a robot dog!
Outdoor Events
This is music and entertainment for outdoor events, i.e., carnivals, fetes, galas, regattas, fun days for Swansea, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Brecon and the whole of South Wales, and is suitable to cater for the needs of audiences of all ages and tastes.
The magic show will keep the very young entertained, whilst Mascot the robot dog will keep the seven to eleven years olds enthralled.
Games, competitions and a pop quiz will provide challenge to the teenagers and adults alike with music from the 60’s to the present day. See further details in the children’s show page.
The Roadshow can be the main attraction or act as full support for other entertainers, providing full public address for announcements, commentary and background music to cater for all your needs.
