XL Sound is an experienced mobile disco, set up and run by two friends in the Bristol and Bath area.

We cater for all events from birthdays and weddings, through to work parties and more. We have a vast selection of the best music spanning all the decades from the swinging sixties through to the top tunes of today.

Our custom built sound system and high quality PA equipment produces an outstanding sound in any sized venue that has to be heard to be believed. From small or large indoor venues through to outdoor events, we guarantee a sound that won’t be beaten. To accompany this we have a full array of lights, lasers and smoke that create an unforgettable atmosphere.

I used Andy from XLSound for my 40th in January. Despite the snow, Andy and his colleague arrived at the venue in plenty of time. The dance floor was packed all night. Andy knew exactly how to keep everybody on the dance floor with constant up beat tracks. The only time the dance floor was empty was when he played 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' which I had requested. I hadn't quite realised the impact this would have on the dance floor though!

He coped well with requests and played right up until the end. There didn't seem to be many requests because people seemed very happy with the tracks played therefore there was no need to keep bugging the DJ. He wasn't demanding in any way and I could concentrate on having a good time. They were a totally self sufficient outfit bringing all their own equipment.

We had everyone request songs from when they were 18 and Andy duly delivered - it went down a storm, we simply couldn't get people off the dancefloor, which was in danger of ending up in the bar below, despite the rival attractions of giant Jenga, Twister and beer!'
