RMD Sound

DJ Robert started to DJ in 1993. It was all just part-time as it depended on his full-time job availability. In 2002 he moved to JHB and started as a DJ full-time. He later renamed his company from Robert's Mobile Disco to RMD Sound. RMD Sound is not just a DJ company.

We are a supplier of Sound, AV, Staging and Lighting for all functions. We've done all sorts of functions, from music for Award evenings (e.g. Bytes Communications at Emperor Palace, Department of Health at Velmore Conference and Banqueting Estate and many more), Team buildings (Nampak, Momentum Health), Birthday parties (from 9 year to 60 year old clients), Weddings (from a Spanish wedding at Ceaser, Portugese, Croation, Afrikaaans, English to a Swing-themed wedding at Toadbury Hall), Corporate year-end functions (FNB, Enviroserve, Old Mutual, etc.), School functions (school's valentine dances and matric farewells) as well as for Fashion parades (Miss & Mr. Marais Viljoen 2006/2007/2008). We also did a variety of different Conferences.

We were the main sponsors for sound and lighting at the MR SA 2007 pageant. We provided the sound and lighting during all the rehearsals as well as for the crowning event, and DJ Robert kept the crowd going after the after-party till just before the sun came up. We've also been involved with a couple of theme parties, like 60's, 80's and Hawaiin.

DJ Robert was also involved with the ABSA athletics series 2004, where he played all the background music during the competition at 6 of the stadiums nationally. He has also played at memorial services where the deceased's favourite songs was played. The type of music differs for the function, but DJ Robert are comfortable playing anything, from Dance, Pop, Rock, House, Sokkie, Kwaito, R&B to Hipp-Hop.

RMD Sound is also a registered member of S.A.M.R.O. (South African Music Right Organisation) We've even provided sound for bands and singers, and worked with Jamali, Debi Gorman, Kristel Birkholtz, Die Reinhard Band and Abbot & Crabb just to name a few, and there is many more to come in the near future.
